Blankenese meets Brazil! đ Circle Singing and Improvised Singing Brazilian Style.
We are thrilled: The wonderful Will Zumba is visiting us again and will be leading this evening!
Will Zumba, a Hamburg-based musician and certified facilitator of the Brazilian methodology MĂșsica do CĂrculo, brings a special spirit to our circle. Together with Annalena Doss, he successfully leads workshops for body percussion and vocal improvisation under the name Intuisound.
His approach is unique: He uses MĂșsica do CĂrculo to let music emerge directly from the moment through circle singing and improvised singing, entirely without sheet music or pressure to perform. By using our bodies and voices as instruments and meeting in the connecting form of the circle, we create vibrant rhythms and choirs together. Music thus becomes a powerful tool for mindfulness, playful interaction, and human musical connection.

About the Evening:
Immerse yourself in 90 minutes full of vitality. We harness the energy of the group to get into a shared flow. We start with inspiring body percussion exercises, making rhythms tangible with our bodies, and intuitively develop harmonious chants from them. In the shared circle, we let our voices blend, experiment with tones, and jointly create a unique, spontaneous listening experience. A refreshing, intensive journey through dynamic group improvisations!
What exactly is MĂșsica do CĂrculo?
A captivating approach from Brazil that uses music as a pure tool for community. Here, the entire body becomes an instrument: through body percussion (clapping, snapping, stepping), we build a vibrant groove. Spontaneous melodies, harmonies, and loops emerge in a circle in the here and now. Without any pressure for perfection, the only things that count are interplay, genuine listening, and pure energy!
